Disposal

DISPOSAL: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW & WHAT YOU NEED TO DO

Since July 2007, the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE Directive) was made law in the UK. It aims to minimise the impact of electrical and electronic goods on the environment, by increasing re-use, recycling and reducing the amount of WEEE going to landfill. It also means that you are legally obliged to dispose of your electrical waste in a manner that minimises the impact on the environment.

Equanet offers a wide selection of certified services for secure and WEEE compliant disposal. We provide logistics and pre-processing in which asset details are collected and items are sorted; certified data erasure at different levels; recycling at component level; certification of disposal under the WEEE Directive.
