Virtualisation to support multiple sites nationwideWith two hundred satellite offices around the UK and 1,800 employees, Turning Point wanted to simplify the way in which it supported the infrastructure through centralisation. The solution was SAN with virtual infrastructure replacing the existing IT systems with a virtual systems serviced by two main datacentres in London and Manchester. In this way forty servers across the UK were consolidated into 5-6 physical servers which hosted a further 90 servers. In addition, a replica of all the critical servers was set up to back up and protect against system outage. |
